Johnson Environmental Education Achievement Award Fund

Established in 2000, this fund provides annual income to honor the contributions or achievements in the area of environmental education. A monetary award (currently $2,000) is given to an Allegany or Garrett County environmental education professional, group, or project to enhance their environmental education efforts. In that manner, the true beneficiaries of the award are the students within our community who learn from the activities of local environmental education programs. The Richard A. Johnson Environmental Education Achievement Award Fund is an endowed fund capable of receiving additional contributions. If you're interested in helping AL by growing the fund, please contact Kristin Kehrwald at 301-689-7102 or kkehrwald@umces.edu
