Water Chemistry Analytical Laboratory

The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) Appalachian Laboratory has an opening for a Faculty Research Assistant to work in the Water Chemistry Laboratory. Job responsibilities will include sample preparation and analysis of environmental samples using state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation to support a variety of research projects.

This is a full-time salaried position offered as a one-year renewable contract contingent on funding. Appointee will be eligible to receive full university benefits, including the medical, prescription and dental plans, as well as the state retirement and pension plan. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Position Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental chemistry, or related field is required. Applicants with prior environmental analytical laboratory experience will be given additional consideration.
