The Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET), a campus of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES), seeks to hire a Regular, Exempt Program Coordinator to support scientists engaged in cutting edge environmental research. IMET is located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor at the Columbus Center, 701 E Pratt Street Baltimore, MD 21202. More information on IMET can be found at www.imet.usmd.edu.
This position will be responsible for:
50% Pre-Award; 30% Post-Award and 20% Administrative and HR support. The department seeks a creative, collaborative, and motivated person who can work productively and cooperatively with a wide variety of individuals.
The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Proposal preparation and submission; Coordination and management of subawards; Award set up and monitoring in shadow system; Payroll projections and HR paperwork; Reporting; Inventory and other program and administrative duties.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Master’s degree in Business Administration or Public administration desired). 2 years of experience in program coordination within a research university (preferred).
