Matthew Saxton, University of Georgia, is a microbiologist and microbial ecologist interested in how microbial communities respond to environmental change and is currently working as the Managing Director for the ECOGIG project at UGA (www.ecogig.org). He will present a talk "Paradox of the (methanotrophic) plankton: Probing extreme environments to help explain methane oxidizer diversity." in the Coastal Science lecture hall at HPL, Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
