K-12 Science Education

The Horn Point Laboratory provides education programs focusing on the science technology engineering and math (STEM) and features the current research of our scientists.  The Teach Ocean Science program provides teachers and students with science-based programs and lessons that promote knowledge and interest about our coastal and ocean systems. 

Our Environmental Science Education Center, located on the Horn Point Laboratory campus, includes computer, microscope and wet lab classrooms, trails along the shoreline of the Choptank River, dorms for overnight stay, and canoe facilities.

A two week-program for students entering grades 7-9.
Week one is a non-residential at the National Aquarium in Baltimore July 1-5
