Summer Bay Adventures Await Local Students at UMCES Horn Point Laboratory |

Cambridge, Md. (March 28, 2007) – Throughout the summer, the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science Horn Point Laboratory offers one-week education programs for students entering kindergarten through eighth grades in the Fall of 2007. The Kids’ Bay Adventures program consists of seven one-week sessions on different environmental topics that run from June 13 through August 3. Children are given the opportunity to have fun in the outdoors, while learning about science in their own backyard. Choptank Discoveries, Wetland Wonders and Junior Scientist are just a few of the programs offered. Craft projects, games and other activities are included as part of the educational experience.A registration Open House will be held Saturday, March 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Horn Point Laboratory Environmental Science Education Center at 2020 Horns Point Road in Cambridge.
