Conner Named Director Communications and Marketing |

CAMBRIDGE, MD (August 16, 2006) – Christopher Conner has been named director of communications and marketing at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES). Conner brings a wealth of environmental communications experience to UMCES from his previous work with the Chesapeake Bay Program and the Baltimore-based Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. Conner’s work has focused on engaging Chesapeake Bay watershed residents about personal stewardship in environmental protection efforts through community outreach, stakeholder relations and scientific communications programs. “Chris’ experience and dedication to the environment will really help us disseminate the discoveries our scientists are making every day. He is an exceptional addition to our team,” said Dr. Donald F. Boesch, president of UMCES. Conner and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Arlington, Virginia. |
