UMCES appoints new Board of Visitors members

The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, a leading research and educational institute dedicated to understanding and managing our natural resources, welcomes four new members to its Board of Visitors. The 20-member board provides advice and counsel to the President on matters pertaining to public outreach, development and policy issues.

Through their involvement, the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science is able to ensure it continues to meet its legislatively defined mission to conduct a comprehensive program to develop and apply predictive ecology for Maryland to the improvement and preservation of the physical environment.

New board members include (left ro right) Joe Farren, Peggy Derrick, Joe Suarez, and Mitch Nietzey:

Joe Farren, Executive Vice President with Powell Tate, a division of Weber Shandwick 

Peggy Derrick, Vice President at EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC

Joe Suarez, Executive Advisor with Community Partnerships for Booz Allen Hamilton

J. Mitchell Neitzey, President, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of EFO Capital Management, Inc.
