Mitch Neitzey of EFO Capital Management, Inc. joins Board of Visitors

CAMBRIDGE, MD (September 8, 2016)—The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, a leading research and educational institute dedicated to understanding and managing our natural resources, recently appointed J. Mitchell Neitzey, President, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of EFO Capital Management, Inc., to its Board of Visitors. 

"We are glad to welcome Mitch Neitzey to our Board of Visitors," said Don Boesch, President of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. “Mitch has a longstanding interest in and concern for the environment and he is very familiar with the University System of Maryland and its institutions. He will no doubt add a lot to UMCES’s forward movement. 

Neitzey is currently the President, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of EFO Capital Management, Inc. (EFO), a diversified investment management and consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. Created in 1984 as a family financial office for fifth-generation founders of Proctor & Gamble, EFO directs all of the Epstein family securities and hedge portfolios, private capital, real estate development and charitable foundation activities.

A lifelong resident of the Washington area, Neitzey’s professional career includes senior positions in commercial banking and investment management.

He received a B.S in Business Management from the University of Maryland in 1980 with graduate studies at George Washington, Georgetown, Wharton, and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He holds professional certifications as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA). 

Neitzey previously served as a Director of Eagle Bank (NASDAQ: EGBN), located in Bethesda, Md., and is currently a Board Member of the University System of Maryland Foundation in addition to serving on the Board of Trustees for St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C.

He and his wife, Karen, have three children and reside in Bowie, Md.
