               \n\n\nAbstract: Expanding the impact\, interest\, and partic
ipation in geosciences is key to moving our discipline to a more just and
equitable grounding. To do help provide a path forward\, we have been work
ing with individuals recognized by their peers as leaders in making this t
ransition through community-engaged research. These are individuals that c
onnect communities impacted by environmental change and solutions-oriented
science\, they build diverse coalitions of partners that result in increa
sed diversity in geoscience and alter the definition of who can participat
e in geosciences. Using a partnership built around Indigenous ecosystem ma
nagement as an example\, we will explore how to span the boundary between
community concerns and geoscience. The result of this being an equitable e
xchange of ideas\, resources\, and befits from collaborative community-bas
 ed projects.\n\n\n\nJoin Zoom Meeting https://zoom.us/j/96105792609?pwd=Qm
