  \n\n \nPresented by Dr. Lisa Wainger\n\n\n\nFuture Chesapeak
e Bay health will depend on the combined influence of environmental change
s and peoples' responses to those changes. Dr. Lisa Wainger will describe
research into these combined effects that found that adaptations that farm
ers are already making to improve crop growth under changing weather are l
ikely to prevent some harm to Chesapeake Bay water quality. This beneficia
l effect could be enhanced by looking for additional opportunities to chan
ge the timing of nutrients to water bodies.\n\n\n\nCost: Free\nWhere: ZOOM
Webinar - you will receive a participant link after registering\nPre-regi
 stration required: http://www.usmf.org/scienceforcitizens/\nWho: Members o
f the general public. No scientific background needed\; everyone is welcom
e!\n\n\n\nPlease note that this seminar will be hosted as Zoom Webinars on
ly. Out of an abundance of caution related to the COVID-19 coronavirus\, t
here will be no in-person attendance opportunity.\n\n\n\nThis seminar is p
resented as a part of the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory’s Science for C
itizens Seminar Series.  These public programs invite the community to dis
cover how our scientists are developing new approaches to solving the envi
ronmental challenges facing Southern Maryland\, our nation\, and the world
