\n\n\nThe ASPiRE Virtual Discussion Series is a good place for anyone inte
rested in learning more about community science\, engaged research\, and e
quitable exchange. If you are new to these topics\, you’ll leave with a th
eoretical foundation and concrete steps to get started. If you already hav
e experience\, you can explore theories that will help you improve your wo
 rk\, explain it to others\, and make a stronger case.\n\n\n\nThe seven-par
t 90-minutes series is designed for geoscientists who want to explore the
theories\, principles\, and practices that provide the foundations for equ
itable research with community partners. Topics include an introduction to
community engaged research in geosciences\, centering community\, buildin
g and maintaining relationships\, learning from histories of scientific en
gagement with communities\, navigating internal and external power and pol
itics\, data sharing and data sovereignty\, and translating all this into
practice.\n\n\n\nBefore each virtual discussion session\, we’ll share read
ings and other materials you can use to get familiar with the topic. Durin
g the discussion session\, you’ll get presentations from community leaders
\, participate in small-group discussions\, plan how you’ll incorporate wh
at you learn into your practice\, and get feedback from community advisors
..\n\n\n\nBecause topics in the virtual discussion series build on previou
s topics and because it is meant to be a space for courageous exploration
with supportive peers\, we ask people to participate in all the sessions\,
if possible. Click on each of the links below to register for the Virtual
  Discussion Series.\n\n\n\n2025 Agenda\n\n\n	Tuesday\, February 18\, 3:00 p
