\nThe ASPiRE Virtual Discussion Series is a good place for anyone interest
ed in learning more about community science\, engaged research\, and equit
able exchange. If you are new to these topics\, you’ll leave with a theore
tical foundation and concrete steps to get started. If you already have ex
perience\, you can explore theories that will help you improve your work\,
  explain it to others\, and make a stronger case.\n\n\n\nThe seven-part 90
-minutes series is designed for geoscientists who want to explore the theo
ries\, principles\, and practices that provide the foundations for equitab
le research with community partners. Topics include an introduction to com
munity engaged research in geosciences\, centering community\, building an
d maintaining relationships\, learning from histories of scientific engage
ment with communities\, navigating internal and external power and politic
s\, data sharing and data sovereignty\, and translating all this into prac
tice.\n\n\n\nBefore each virtual discussion session\, we’ll share readings
and other materials you can use to get familiar with the topic. During th
 e discussion session\, you’ll get presentations from community leaders\, p
articipate in small-group discussions\, plan how you’ll incorporate what y
ou learn into your practice\, and get feedback from community advisors..\n
\n\n\nBecause topics in the virtual discussion series build on previous to
pics and because it is meant to be a space for courageous exploration with
supportive peers\, we ask people to participate in all the sessions\, if
possible. Click on each of the links below to register for the Virtual Dis
 cussion Series.\n\n\n\n2025 Agenda\n\n\n	Tuesday\, February 18\, 3:00 pm to
