 ented by Dr. Ralph Eshelman\n\n\n\nThis illustrated presentation will pres
 ent a historical overview of Solomons Island\, including how it became the
  bugeye capital of the Chesapeake\, home to Patuxent brand oysters that we
 re eaten as far west as California and as far south as Antarctica. Steambo
 ats were the lifeblood of the island during World War II\, the M.M. Davis 
 and Son Shipyard made vessels for the war effort. These topics and more wi
