     \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n Target Audience\n \n
 \n \n\n \n\n\nThis webinar is directed at practitioners\,
policy and decision makers\, scientists\, researchers\, academics and othe
r professionals interested in modeling and decision-support tools in the w
 ater\, energy\, food\, climate and environmental/ecosystems sectors.\n\n\n
\nThe webinar will be of particular interest to technical specialists from
institutions responsible for water resources management\, energy planning
\, agricultural development\, environmental monitoring\, and climate adapt
ation in ACTO Member Countries.\n\n\n\nParticipants from the ACTO Regional
Nexus Group\, national technical agencies\, and regional organizations in
volved in the Amazon Basin are strongly encouraged to participate.\n\n
   \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n Background\n \n
\n\n \n\n \n\n\nThis webinar is part of the project spon
sored by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) entitled Innovation and
Science for the Operationalization of the Water-Energy-Food Nexus within
the Framework of the Amazon Regional Observatory (ORA).\n\n\n\nThe project
has focused on the development and operationalization of integrated analy
tical tools to support multi-sectoral planning and decision-making in the
Amazon River Basin. These tools combine hydrological modeling (HydroBID)\,
nexus systems modeling (WHAT-IF)\, and interactive dashboards integrated
into the ORA platform.\nThrough a series of webinars\, workshops\, and tec
hnical training activities conducted between 2024 and 2026\, the project h
as strengthened the capacity of specialists from ACTO Member Countries to
apply these tools in the analysis of water\, energy\, food\, and ecosystem
interactions in the basin.\n\n\n\nThe first two webinars in this series f
ocused on: (i) the operationalization of the HydroBID-WHATIF nexus modelin
g framework\, and (ii) the development of new analytical products and dash
boards for nexus analysis.\n\n\n\nThis third webinar will present the outc
omes of the project\, highlight lessons learned from the training and capa
city-building activities conducted\, and discuss future perspectives for s
trengthening nexus analytical capacity in the Amazon Basin.\n\n \n\n
 \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n

 \n \n \n\n \n\n \n\n\nThis webinar aims to prese
nt the main results of the project and discuss future opportunities for st
rengthening nexus analytical capabilities in the Amazon Basin. Specificall
y\, the webinar will:\n\n\n	Present the outcomes of the project\, including
the operationalization of the HydroBID-WHATIF nexus modeling tools within
the Amazon Regional Observatory.\n	Summarize the new analytical products d
eveloped for the nexus dashboards\, including tools related to water balan
ce analysis\, ecological flows\, water quality indicators\, and infrastruc
ture intervention scenarios.\n	Highlight the results of the regional traini
ng activities\, including the HydroBID and WHAT-IF training courses conduc
ted with technical specialists from ACTO Member Countries.\n	Present recomm
endations for future capacity-building efforts to strengthen the use of ne
xus analytical tools across the region.\n	Discuss opportunities for continu
ed collaboration among ACTO Member Countries in the application of nexus t
ools for integrated planning and sustainable development in the Amazon Bas
 in.\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n

 d Outcomes\n \n \n\n \n\n \n\n\nBy the end of th
e webinar\, participants are expected to:\n\n\n	Understand the final result
s and achievements of the project\, including the operational integration
of the HydroBID-WHATIF nexus modeling framework into the Amazon Regional O
bservatory.\n	Become familiar with the analytical tools and dashboards avai
lable through the ORA platform for nexus analysis in the Amazon Basin.\n	Id
entify opportunities for applying nexus analytical tools in national plann
ing processes within ACTO Member Countries.\n	Contribute to the discussion
of future capacity-building priorities and collaboration opportunities for
strengthening nexus analysis in the region.\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n
             \n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n
