 some of it ends up in our streams\, rivers\, the Chesapeake Bay\, and ulti
 mately the ocean\, harming the wildlife and sealife. CBL scientists are pa
 rtnering with restaurants on Solomons Island to work together on reducing 
 plastic waste. In this talk\, Dr. Bailey will explain how these businesses
  are “making the switch” from common single-use\, petroleum-based plastics
 \, such as straws and take-out containers\, to compostable and biodegradab
