 borative problem solving in natural resources is challenging because of co
 nflicting values\, uncertain knowledge\, and the time required for effecti
 ve communication. But application of decision analysis and structured deci
 sion making in collaborative settings can help find ways for human activit
 y and ecological processes to coexist by identifying durable and optimal s
 olutions.  In this talk\, I discuss collaborative decision-making processe
 s at the interface of conflict resolution and decision analysis as applied
  to natural resource management. I illustrate the processes with examples 
 and present a series of key considerations useful for preparing a group fo
