Horn Point to break ground on solar field

The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science has signed an agreement with Standard Solar to install a 10-acre solar field at its Horn Point Laboratory campus.

This field will generate approximately 50 percent of the Horn Point Laboratory's annual energy consumption. UMCES has also received a grant from the Maryland Energy Administration to install four solar canopy vehicle charging stations on
campus.
