Designed to encourage interest in marine science careers via discovery activities, the day was run by the Society for Women in Marine Science and funded by the Maryland Sea Grant.
Paulina Huanca-Valenzuela and Carol Kim, as part of the 45th Knauss Fellowship class, will serve out their year-long fellowship in the legislative, or executive branch, of the federal government in Washington, D.C.
