Kids Summer Adventures at Horn Point Lab: July/August 2024

Toadfish Adventures is a co-ed, environmental education, STEM-focused experience with 3 sessions for rising 1st graders through 15 years old. It takes place at UMCES' Horn Point Laboratory in Cambridge, MD. With the backdrop of the Horn Point Laboratory and its 800+ acres on the banks of the Choptank River, Toadfish Adventures engages students’ sense of wonder!

Dr. Fernando Miralles-Wilhelm named president of University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science

The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents has appointed Dr. Fernando Miralles-Wilhelm the next president of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES). Miralles-Wilhelm is currently professor and dean of the College of Science at George Mason University. He will be the seventh president in UMCES' nearly 100-year history.
