Our hands-on activities encourage young people to be curious and learn about the environment and how they fit into their place on the planet.
Toadfish Adventures activities include: Canoeing, fishing/seining, marsh mucking, extreme wading, arts and crafts, oyster hatchery tours, oyster tonging activity, nautical knot tying, scavenger hunt, tie-dying, geocache/map & compass, Native American studies, oyster dissection, hiking, and shell bagging/oyster cage building. (On Wednesday night participants will enjoy a cookout, campfire and s'mores!)
Toadfish Adventures Extreme (T.A.X.) Activities Include: off-site adventures including visit to: Blackwater Wildlife Refuge and paddling; working farm with animals; a local oyster farm; a watermen’s softshell crab shed, skipjack cruise, AND an extreme day of paddling out on the Choptank river! (2 day sessions and 1 overnight...sign up for one or both!)
Toadfish Adventure sessions run Monday through Friday.
Session 1: Rising 1st grader – 9 years old, July 31 thru August 4
Mon., Tues., Thurs. 9am - 4pm
Wednesday 9am - 6pm (with family invited for cookout)
Friday - 9am - 2pm (early release)
Session 2: Students 10-13 years old, August 7 to 11
Mon., Tues., Thurs.. 9am - 4pm

Session 3: NEW! (A and B) Toadfish Adventure Extreme (TAX) 12 – 15 years old
3A August 14 , 9 am through August 15, 4 pm
3B August 16, 9 am through August 17, 4 pm
Costs: $255 per session, $160 for each TAX session or $300 for both

Toadfish Adventures is led by Bryan Gomes, who has over 2 decades of environmental education experience and certifications, and has held management positions with 2 residential camps in the Annapolis area.
