Federal funding for oyster restoration awarded to UMCES scientists

This morning, Maryland U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen joined oyster experts from the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science to celebrate a nearly $1 million federal award for oyster restoration and resiliency research and roundtable discussion on the future of oyster research for restoration of the Chesapeake Bay.

Ming Li receives President’s Award for Excellence in Application of Science

Mary Ann Manley honored with the UMCES Staff Excellence Award

For 36 years, Mary Ann Manley provided exemplary service to the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science and Horn Point Laboratory community through her work as a Program Management Specialist in the Horn Point business office. She was a leader in demonstrating teamwork among her colleagues and her exemplary performance consistently demonstrated a high level of commitment to UMCES.
