Dr. Kenneth Rose’s research centers on using mathematical and computer simulation modeling to predict and better understand fish population and food web dynamics in estuaries, lakes, reservoirs, and oceans.
Biological and physical oceanography students embarked on two research cruises on the Rachel Carson to get a new perspective from their class lectures.
"We have all this carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, it’s a greenhouse gas and plants on land as well as plants in the ocean take up that carbon and convert it into biomass, or the living tissue of those organisms. My focus is on what happens to all that living stuff."
