Governor Wes Moore has commissioned Solomons resident and University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science Professor Thomas Miller as the 111th Admiral of the Chesapeake Bay.
UMCES Professor Jacqueline Grebmeier is the recipient of the 2025 Excellence in Scholarship or Research Award, the highest honor bestowed by the University System of Maryland Board of Regents recognizing exemplary achievement.
