National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Coral Reef Ecosystem Status and Trends Reports

Project Dates : October 15, 2014 - September 30, 2020

Under NOAA’s National Coral Reef Monitoring Plan (NCRMP), IAN-UMCES has received grant funding to develop and implement frameworks that help NCRMP regularly deliver national-level status reports to policy makers, resource managers, and any constituent concerned about the health of corals in any U.S. jurisdiction. Such reporting is essential to communicate and evaluate the efficacy of place-based investments in coral reef conservation. Status reports for each jurisdiction are compiled using regional fish, climate, benthic, and socio-economic data to accurately assess overall reef health.
