On Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 6:30pm at the Appalachian Laboratory in Frostburg, MD, award-winning Lynne Cherry, public television filmmaker and author of over thirty children’s books, will present and discuss remarkable success stories of how youth learn through their own solution-oriented actions within their communities. The presentation will include a screening of a film from the Young Voices for the Planet series. This family-friendly event will be of interest to students, scientists, science communicators, educators, teens, pre-teens, and upper elementary age children. The event is free and open to the public with limited seating available.
