Research Fleet
State-of- the-art research vessel Rachel Carson designed to monitor the Chesapeake Bay and its tidal rivers.
The UMCES Research Fleet Operations Center is based at CBL and offers a several vessels for Bay and river research, including the Rachel Carson.
Library
CBL provides library services to all UMCES research locations. Patrons can download journal articles and access research information through our partner institutions.
Nutrient Analytical Services Laboratory
The Nutrient Analytical Services Laboratory is a full-service laboratory at CBL. It provides analytical support to researchers of the University of Maryland, state and federal agencies, and private sector in water column chemistry, particulate and sediments, and other chemistries.
