We provide a comprehensive range of high-quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities through our partnership with edX, a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) provider where courses can be audited free or you can choose to receive a verified certificate for a small fee.
K-12 Continuing Professional Development
UMCES is proud to offer courses for educators. All courses listed are approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) for Continuing Professional Development credits.
Micro-Credentials
UMCES offers micro-credentials to recognize skills gained through workshops, courses, and internships, enhancing workforce readiness. These are represented by digital badges, which serve as verifiable, portable records of achievement as part of the Open Badges network.
