Bio
I am from coastal New Jersey and have worked in various disciplines of estuarine ecology throughout my career. My research has focused on water quality, harmful algal blooms, and phytoplankton ecology in coastal systems. However, I love to learn about other facets of marine science and have participated in fisheries and shorebird research projects. I have lived and worked in NJ, FL, CT, SC, NC, and now Maryland! I am a member of the US HAB Control Technologies Incubator team working alongside Drs. Allen Place and Taylor Armstrong.
I hold a USCG OUPV Captain’s License and enjoy any activity that allows me to be outdoors, especially on the water. I am dedicated to increasing ocean literacy and collaborating with communities and stakeholders to tackle environmental issues. I am a passionate educator and greatly enjoy mentoring students.
