Bio

My research seeks to understand and predict coastal dynamics through physics-based studies of hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and morphodynamics, with applications to coastal hazards, marine infrastructure, and nature-based systems for coastal resilience. By integrating multiscale numerical modeling with laboratory experiments and field observations, I investigate the fundamental processes governing coastal dynamics and evolution.

My long-term research vision is to advance the physical understanding of coastal processes and apply that knowledge to develop predictive frameworks for coastal evolution, coastal hazard assessment and mitigation, and the design and optimization of engineered coastal systems and nature-based solutions to support coastal resilience and climate adaptation.
