Taylor Armstrong

Bio

Taylor Armstrong is the senior program manager of the United States Harmful Algal Bloom Control Technology Incubator. She is interested in research on prevention, mitigation, and control strategies to reduce Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs). She received her PhD working in the lab of Dr. Allen Place, studying how allelochemicals can be used in inhibit species of toxic algae and how land cover impacts the phytoplankton community and occurrence of toxic algae. In addition, Taylor was part of the inaugural class of NOAA Davidson fellows, where she worked at the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve in New Jersey.
