We are committed to helping inform and equip communities to protect the environmental and economic sustainability of Maryland’s coastal resources. K-12 Education Program
Maryland Sea Grant’s education program develops and delivers environmental science education programs, teacher professional development, and a variety of educational resources to K-12 educators. Signature programs equip educators to teach about aquaculture (opens in a new tab), microscopic marine communities (opens in a new tab), and the eastern oyster (opens in a new tab).
Fellowships and Internships
Maryland Sea Grant works to increase marine science literacy across the full spectrum of education, from children in elementary school to Ph.D. candidates. We offer a variety of internships and fellowships for undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students. Communications Products
Maryland Sea Grant’s communications team informs the public about science that can help to protect and restore the Chesapeake Bay and Maryland’s coastal waters. Our publications provide scientifically accurate information with context and depth. Chesapeake Quarterly is our free magazine available digitally, with select articles in print.
