A dolphin is stranded when it is on land, whether it is alive or dead. A stranded dolphin in the water may appear stuck in a net or in an enclosed area and it is unable to leave on its own. Notify authorities of stranded animals by calling: 1-800-626-9944 in Maryland or 1-757-385-7575 in Virginia
