Bio

Joy is a current Ph.D. student here at CBL. She has a research interest centered on understanding environmental  ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​pollutants, their effects on human health, aquatic life, the earth's atmosphere, ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​and also developing novel methods. Her current project is focused on the Photochemical Fate of Organic UV filters in Natural Waters.
 
Joy has previously worked on an environmental Chemistry project during her undergraduate program and published an article titled "In situ concentration and adsorption characteristics of Cu(II) and  Pb(II) in bed sediments of river Niger, in Lokoja area, Nigeria." She aspires to continue making progress in the field of environmental science.
