Bio

Annie Carew graduated from UMCES with a Master's degree in 2019. Her thesis research examined the effects of genetic identity on SAV restoration success. Annie is originally from North Carolina and got her Bachelor's Degree at Clemson University, where she conducted research on salamander ecology and rangeland management. She has written for Tigra scientifica magazine at Clemson and the Parks in Science History article series through the National Park Service. At IAN she works on data visualization, document design, data analysis, and social media management. She is a budding birder and bright-eyed botanist, and can often be found wandering in the woods on the weekends.
