Tuning into the real-time whale buoy offshore Ocean City, Maryland
Learn how passive acoustic monitoring for Baleen whales began in Maryland, and how we continue to monitor today. Our network listens for whales in near real time along the east coast to inform maritime communities when whales are in the area.
